Life Delights : Folio Accordian Album

Inside view by Becky I.
Album Covers by Jen L and Rosemary P.

my front cover (okay I copied Rosemary) with "tie-dyed" effects on small blue flower and vase.

Creative Clips (sheer plastic ) tied with Blush polka dot ribbon.

Thanks to Colton J. for taking the photos so I could be in the pictures... for a change.

Four CuttingEdge Diva consultants got together for a fun business meeting tonight at the Studio. Pictured left to right, are: myself ( in my lovely stunning kiwi green track pants - smirk ) , Rosemary P , Becky I , and Jen L .

We each created a 6 by 24 inch accordian album made from ONE 12 x 12 CTMH true fit folio. We scored it every 4 inches and folded it lengthwise, covered it with Life Delights patterned papers, cut out the circles with coluzzle... well two of us sort of used the Coluzzle, which wasnt doing the job very well, since Jen L. told me my blade wasnt sticking out far enough to go through two layers of paper, and two of us traced the shape with pencil and cut with scissors... then we added our pull out tags from cardstock and stamped and embellished.

We found the mini brads a bit frustrating to use, but they look cute on the centers of the flowers.
I loved the creative clips with ribbons tied on... first time I used one out of my brand new pack that had been sitting on my supply table all winter long.

The flower is stamped with the CTMH June stamp of the month. It's cool. No doubt in my mind.

I will be offering this workshop at the studio in May . Not sure if Coluzzle blade will be in operation by then. haha.

Mexico: Mayan Adventure page 8

Our guide Luis was a very good humored , outgoing

man. I had a riot sitting next to him in the front seat of the camionetta.

He taught me all sorts of words in Spanish.

Mexico page 8 and page 9

Mayan Adventure: three snorkel sites in one morning.

We jumped off a cliff into a Cenote,

swam through stalactites in an underground river,

and snorkelled a combination of fresh and saltwater in an ocean lagoon.

Mexico, page 6 and page 7

I finished these pages last week but just hadn't posted the results.

I am happy with the layouts of our beautiful resort.
I incorporated some Doodling with my sakura white pen.

There is a chipboard letter for the title on each page, again for consistency throughout the album. It is visible on the top left : F , for five star resort.

Japanese Iris Folding

Three of us got together Tuesday night to fold some kimonos and fans. Here are the results!

Magic Moments Scrapbook Kit May is National Scrapbooking Month and CTMH is kicking things off early with the Magic Moments Scrapbooking Kit. I got mine early... cant wait to play with it. The paisleys in the patterns are so delectable. This is the perfect kit for an entire year of scrapbook memories, and that is how I do my family scrapbooks! My 2008 book will feature chocolate base pages, twilight, sweet leaf, Life Delights paper pack, Magic Moments, and the Good Times paper pack. The thing I like is that the colours just work together and the combinations are endless. For more info on this exciting promo, please click here.

Japanese Kimono

This is one of the patterns we will be doing with authentic Japanese papers in upcoming classes in April . It can be used for a variety of occasions. I love the authentic indigo papers. They are quite soft, and feel almost like a cotton texture on top.
I visited Japan in 2004 and picked up some paper odds and ends. I found out that the colour Indigo (a deep rich navy) is popular in traditional work not only in paper but in linens and clothing. The Kyoto artisans wear clothing made from Indigo patterned fabric. Hopi coats, short overlapping belted robes worn over shirts and pants, are also in this colour.
The kimono is both comfortable and elegant, dont you think?
