Page 4.

Again, like many of my layouts, this one is all about colour... the cardstock that "went with" the water was the starting point for the entire layout. I tried to keep it uncluttered by too much pattern and I like the way the soft sunflower hue looks with a bit of the deeper one.

Some old Laid Back Stickease and some vintage patterned beach paper with starfish made their way into the accents. I put a single buttercup brad on a small flower through the chipboard S. Why do I enjoy these little details soooo much.

I came home from work on Thursday and couldn't believe my eyes. I had to open the card to see who sent them ! Rick had never sent flowers before and this was a very romantic extravagant gesture from him. I love the arrangement with the square vase and river stones on the bottom. You can bet I will reuse this vase again! Thank you Rick for renewing my faith in you.

Mayan Riviera: the beach

Page 2-3. These 2 pages show Rick and I playing in the surf and on the sand. We are both comfortable as swimmers, and the water was crystal clear the first 3 days which made it perfect for snorkelling. We saw a 3 foot baracuda inshore on day 2 that had 8 of us following it spellbound while Rick went backpedalling in a hurry.

I had fun using some old CTHM paper scraps from a beach theme to make the starfish embellishments. The large Chipboard B in beach is covered in the same pattern paper. I am making these layouts up as I go along. I had a creative block when I got to the next 2 pages so I stopped. More to come.

Mexico title page

I created a title page for a 10 page album from my recent trip to the Mayan Riviera. This was my first real vacation trip away with Rick and it turned out to be fabulous. Our location was as close to paradise as you can get.

The iguanas were local residents and we ran into them on the paths to and from the hotel. Professional photographers took pictures by the pool for any of us tourists who wanted to be captured on film with exotic wildlife.

I have always loved butterflies and a tropical theme works well with them so I will work in a few more before I finish this album.

I wrapped the chipboard M in the title with raffia: finickity but effective.

Another Baby Romper

Boy these are addictive cards.

Heavenly Blue Cardstock was used for this card. The circles are 1 and a quarter inches. You can use a coluzzle or a punch to make them . The little boy is from CTMH Special Occasions acrylix. I second generation stamped the pram in dutch blue, overstamped the saying little blue in dutch blue, and coloured the baby face with a baby pink marker. Pop dots, of course.

Maybe someone will design a cute bib!

just leave off the oatmeal spit... lol.

Sweet Harmony Crisscross Card

Had to post this cute card from tonight's card party hosted by Cathy K. at the Studio. By the way, we came up with a hilarious name for our "group" ... The STAMP TRAMPS.

We practiced a brayer technique on the white background on the inset card.

We did some additional mini-tutorials while we chatted , using the distressing kit, all the foam tools, brushes, ceramcoat paint, inks and sander.

Next, the Tramps were curious about prisma glitter. It is extremely fine and clear. You can apply it to wet ink, versamark, glue pen, or embossing pen and it will stick.

The Tramps will be doing Japanese Iris folding in April and our next Camp is April 20 from 12-5 at the Studio .
